Blind is the World – Dhammadīpa

“Blind is the world;
here only a few possess insight.
Only a few, like birds escaping from the net,
go to realms of bliss.” – Dhp 174

“Andhabhūto ayaṁ loko,
tanukettha vipassati;
Sakuṇo jālamuttova,
appo saggāya gacchati.”

“ဤလူအပေါင်းသည် (ပညာမျက်စိမရှိသဖြင့်) အကန်းအတိသာ ဖြစ်၏။
ဤလောက၌ အနည်းငယ်မျှသောသူသည်သာ (အနိစ္စ စသော သဘောအားဖြင့်) ရှုမြင်နိုင်၏။
ပိုက်ကွန်မှ လွတ်သော ငှက်သည် နည်းပါးသကဲ့သို့ လူအနည်းငယ်မျှသာ နတ်ရွာနိဗ္ဗာန်သို့ ရောက်နိုင်၏။”

“Như chim thoát khỏi lưới, chằng mấy con bay thằng lên trời cao,
trong thế gian này chằng mấy người sáng suốt trông thấy cao xa.”

世間大部分的人是盲目的，
只有小數的人明白正法；
一如只有小數的鳥脫離羅網，
少數的人往生善趣。
