One Taste

“…the great ocean has one taste, the taste of salt, so, monks, this Dhamma and Discipline has one taste, the taste of freedom. That, monks, this Dhamma and Discipline has one taste, the taste of freedom, is the sixth wonderful and marvellous thing, monks, about this Dhamma and Discipline, which, having seen and considered, the monks delight in this Dhamma and Discipline.” – Ud 5.5

“…mahāsamuddo ekaraso loṇaraso; evamevaṁ kho, bhikkhave, ayaṁ dhammavinayo ekaraso vimuttiraso. Yampi, bhikkhave, ayaṁ dhammavinayo ekaraso vimuttiraso; ayaṁ, bhikkhave, imasmiṁ dhammavinaye chaṭṭho acchariyo abbhuto dhammo, yaṁ disvā disvā bhikkhū imasmiṁ dhammavinaye abhiramanti.”

ရဟန်းတို့ မဟာသမုဒ္ဒရာသည် ငန်သော အရသာ တစ်မျိုးတည်းသာ ရှိသကဲ့သို့ ဤအတူ ဤဓမ္မဝိနယ’သာသနာတော်’၌ ကိလေသာမှ လွတ်မြောက်မှု အရသာတစ်မျိုးတည်းသာ ရှိ၏။ ရဟန်းတို့ ယင်းသို့ ဤဓမ္မဝိနယ ‘သာသနာတော်’၌ ကိလေသာမှ လွတ်မြောက်မှု အရသာတစ်မျိုးတည်းသာ ရှိခြင်းသည်လည်းဤဓမ္မဝိနယ’သာသနာတော်’၌ ဆဋ္ဌအံ့သြဖွယ်သော မဖြစ်ဖူးမြဲဖြစ်သော သဘောတည်း။ ယင်းသဘောကို မြင်ကုန်မြင်ကုန်၍ ရဟန်းတို့သည် ဤဓမ္မဝိနယ’သာသနာတော်’၌ အလွန်မွေ့လျော်ကုန်၏။

“…biển lớn chỉ có một vị là vị mặn. Cũng vậy, này các Tỷ-kheo, pháp này cũng chỉ có một vị là vị giải thoát. Này các Tỷ-kheo, trong Pháp và Luật này, đây là vi diệu chưa từng có thứ sáu. Do thấy vậy, thấy vậy, Tỷ-kheo thích thú trong Pháp và Luật này.”
